Obituary for
Ernestine Delores Stalling
Ernestine Delores Stalling was born on May 27, 1942 in Birmingham, Alabama the only child of Bernard and Claudia Battle. Both parents, and beloved son Robert Stalling, preceded her in death.
Ernestine moved to St. Louis, Missouri at an early age where she was raised by her grandmother, Ernestine Mosley.
She received her education in St. Louis Public School System where she attended Banneker Middle and Soldan High School. She later received training to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. She enjoyed caring for and nurturing others and worked for many years as a CNA taking care of her patients and nursing home residents.
Ernestine was also a natural homemaker. She loved to cook and spending time with family and friends. Her family, aunt’s uncles, cousins and other could often be found at her house enjoying a good meal, talking and laughing or playing cards.
Her health began to fail many years ago, she was lovingly taken care of during this extended illness by her devoted and oldest daughter, Bridgette Battle.
Ernestine departed this earth on Friday, January 18, 2013. She leaves to cherish her memory four children, Bridgette Battle, Angela (Gerald) Taylor, Raymond Battle and Tracey Murphy; six grandchildren, Brandon Fletcher, Cieara Richardson, Candace James, Nisha Warren, Risha Warren and Dwayne Wilbert; great grandchildren, Aniya Griffin, Jourdyn Griffin, Artise Griffin, Brandon Fletcher, Denim Downer, Zamiere Warren, Dymond Warren and Tianna Battle. Also mourning her loss are two loving aunts, Roberlene Wallace and Minnie Williams; her uncle Raymond Mosley and a number of cousins, other relatives, family and friends.
