Obituary for Willie Henry Reed Jr.

Willie Henry Reed Jr.
Willie Henry Reed, Jr.,affectionately called “Bill, Jr.”“Junie,” began his journey into this world on July 27, 1964, through two loving parents Willie Henry Reed, Sr. and Cora Jeanne White-Reed, a union created by God. He was the second of three Children born to this union.

Willie was raised in a family with a long history of Christian beliefs in the “Reed Family Church Home,” Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. He was a believer of Christ and strongly believed he was saved through his grace and mercy (John 3:16). Bill, Jr. received his education through the St. Louis Public School System.

Possessed with several talents, Bill, Jr. labored whenever work was available. He was an excellent Painter. Willie enjoyed life and just having a good time, especially at family functions. Whenever in his presence Bill, Jr. was quite a gentleman and always attentive of his loved ones. Bill, Jr. was a stylish dresser, he looked debonair even when he was casually dressed.

On July 8, 2015, our beloved Bill, Jr. joined a host of family members who are resting in the bosom of the Lord, including his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Our Bill, Jr. faced many obstacles, but God kept him in His grace. He touched many lives during his journey and was loved by all who knew him. He will be mourned and missed by all of us and that is why “It’s so hard to say goodbye.” For those who will sorely miss him until their transition to unite with him again in Christ are his loving parents, Willie H. Reed, Sr. and Cora J. Reed; his devoted sister/mama, Teresa Givens (Terrill); his brother, Torrance (Annette); his children, Dominique Reed, Shawn Reed, Krista Trigg (Donald) and adopted son Johnathan Trigg (Breasia); six grandchildren, Alexius, Ashawn, Gabrielle, Kamora, Johnathan Jr. and JahBrea; a niece, Shayla Reed (Anthony) of Austin, TX; a nephew, Chauncey Reed, of El Paso, TX, and LaVincent Miles; two grand nieces, Tytiana Reed and Angilee Reed, of TX; a host of aunts, great-aunts, uncles, cousins and special cousins; a long time loyal friend of 13 yrs., Delbra Jones; other close friends and associates.
