Virginia  Barham
On January 18, 2013 Virginia Barham made her transition peacefully at home with her daughter and granddaughter by her bedside.
Virginia Barham, born Virginia Alexander, entered this life on July 17, 1935 in St. Louis, MO as a blessing to the union of Edward Alexander and Geneva Williams. Her parents and six siblings preceded her in death. At an early age Virginia confessed her faith in Christ at St. Philips Lutheran Church.
While growing up in St. Louis, MO she attended Bannerker Elementary and was a proud alumni of Vashon High School, class of 1952. She was also a Junior Elk with the drum and bugle Corp. After graduating from high school she attended Stowe Teachers College.
In 1953, Virginia was united in holy matrimony to Claude W. Barham to this union one child Beverly Barham was born.
Virginia worked as an Appeals officer for the Internal Revenue Service until she retired in 1990. She was active in many social clubs, including the “Sippers” and the “LaChoicettes” and continued to have close friendships with many of the remaining living members.
Virginia leaves to cherish her memory of a loving and adoring family consisting of one daughter, Beverly; one granddaughter Brandy (Lance); two brothers, James and Edward Alexander; two great grandchildren, Lance II and Lauryn Walker, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
